Since joining MFA in 2014, Emily has been involved with a range of environmental assessment, remediation, mining, and solid waste projects. She has a passion for brownfield redevelopment and has been engaged as a hydrogeologist in several grant-funded projects in Oregon and Washington. One of the things she enjoys most about her career is that she has the opportunity to gain intimate knowledge about businesses and industries by taking a behind-the-scenes look at their operations, becoming a historian of sorts about past practices on their sites.

Where is your hometown/where did you grow up?

I grew up in Litchfield Park, Arizona, a community west of Phoenix. Desiring a different climate, I moved to Seattle to attend college at University of Washington.
