Community Service at Clark County Food Bank

several shopping bags full of groceries

The work MFA does helps our community every day, from cleaning up brownfield sites to planning and designing new neighborhoods. MFA goes beyond that, enabling and supporting their employees to volunteer in our community supporting causes we are passionate about.

This week some of my co-workers and I volunteered at the Clark County Food Bank. We were able to assist with repacking 3,300 lbs of fresh produce, plus 8,700 lbs of food donated from local food drives. That repacked food will equal approximately 10,000 meals and will be distributed to over 20 non-profit agencies in Clark County for those in need.

I’m proud to work for a company that encourages and supports employee participation in volunteer activities by compensating employees for time spent volunteering and giving back to the community—up to eight hours of time. Thank you MFA for organizing this event, which allowed us to not only give back but to also have a blast with our co-workers outside of the office.
