Communication and Government Relations

The WSDOT Toll Division plays a vital role in the community and regional economy by creating toll facilities that fund regional transportation improvements. To help guide facility and division needs, WSDOT hired MFA to provide ongoing communication, project management, and government relations support.

MFA serves as an extension of the Toll Division team and works directly with the WSDOT secretary and assistant secretary to support ongoing division initiatives and coordination with partner agencies; the Office of Financial Management; and the Office of the Governor to ensure that efforts are consistent with statewide priorities and incorporate ongoing legislative and statutory requirements. As Toll Division prepared to launch the I-405 Express Lanes and open the SR 99 tunnel, MFA supported the WSDOT Toll Division team with the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications, stakeholder engagement, and government relations strategy, in addition to facilitating communications with local partner agencies and other stakeholder groups. MFA continues to assist the division as they open new facilities, and with budget and business planning efforts.
