Growing up in Eastern Washington, Amanda developed a love for the outdoors that fueled her interest in geology. Since joining MFA in 2018, Amanda has worked on various projects ranging from petroleum cleanup to sediment characterization. Her experience includes managing fast-paced remediation projects, executing complex fieldwork, and developing protective and cost-effective environmental solutions. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking on Galbraith Mountain and spending time with her two horrible, but adorable, cats.

Where is your hometown/where did you grow up?

I grew up in the beautiful Wenatchee Valley. At MFA, I’ve been able to work on interesting projects in my hometown, ranging from lead and arsenic cleanup in former orchards to petroleum and metals characterization at a silicon smelter. As an added bonus, I get to spend time with my family when conducting fieldwork in Wenatchee.
