Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Taylor has a deep admiration for the Pacific Northwest and the communities that call it home. Throughout her academic career, she was fortunate to study in the Channeled Scablands of Eastern Washington and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Southwestern Montana. After obtaining her BS in geology in 2019, Taylor joined MFA as part of the Idaho team. Her experience includes soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling; geologic bore hole logging; monitoring well installation oversight; geologic field mapping; asbestos materials inspections; spatial modeling; and technical writing.

Taylor currently lives in the historic Silver Valley of Northern Idaho and works primarily at the Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Complex Superfund Site, where she leads site characterization investigations at former mine and mill sites. She relishes the rich history of the valley and never turns down an opportunity to relive the past with the generations who call this region home. When not at work, Taylor enjoys exploring the valley with her husband and two dogs. You can find her on the trails, floating on the Coeur d’Alene River, or supporting her favorite establishments in Wallace.

Give us a dinner or lunch recommendation!

If you’re in the Silver Valley and need a bite to eat, drive to Wallace. The recommendations are endless, but I’ll name a few of my favorites. Muchachos Tacos will satisfy all of your Tex-Mex cravings. However, if you’re feeling fancy and want brick-oven pizza and wine, hands down, go to the Fainting Goat. The Tin Snug is new to town and has the best bratwurst and ice cream, but if you’re looking for a classic Italian dinner, try the Blackboard Café.
