A graduate of Western Washington University’s Toxicology and Science and Management of Contaminated Sites programs, Kieron joined MFA as a field technician in 2021 and, with a short detour into air sciences, is now a staff environmental scientist. He has a background in ecotoxicology, emissions modeling, environmental characterization and remediation, and hazardous waste management and regulation, and has a passion for terrestrial ecology.

A native Washingtonian, Kieron has spent most of his time exploring the Pacific Northwest. When he’s not working, he can be found—out of cell range—running, hiking, biking, and generally getting lost outdoors.

If you were not an environmental scientist, what would you be?

I would likely be a forest ranger, search and rescue specialist, or maybe just a resource manager of some kind. Anything outdoors and on my feet!
