Julie has a passion for creating a healthy work environment and cares deeply about worker safety. Coming from an environmental management background, Julie specializes in many disciplines of work at MFA but chooses to focus on health and safety because she believes that all workers deserve to be healthy and safe. She also understands the importance of collaborating with clients in order to meet their unique needs, which is why she enjoys working with all kinds of industries and manufacturers.

Julie enjoys caring for houseplants, making jewelry, being creative in the kitchen, and taking her dogs for hikes or to the dog park. You might catch Julie thrifting around Portland’s vintage shops, since it’s her favorite pastime, but she rarely leaves with something since she’s a practicing minimalist. The irony is not lost on her.

If you were not a health and safety specialist, what would you be?

I always dreamed of being a surgeon. Life had different plans for me, but I am happy I ended up being a health and safety specialist because I still get to help people!
