Josh Elliott

Maul Foster & Alongi (MFA) is proud to announce the promotion of Josh Elliott, PE, to principal.

For more than 16 years, Josh has provided environmental engineering consulting expertise including in-water and upland site remediation, hydraulic modeling, habitat restoration design, stormwater and wastewater treatment, litigation and allocation support, and environmental permitting. Josh is a project manager for priority projects for both Ecology (Washington State) and the Oregon DEQ as well as for local governments and private clients. He recently led an interdisciplinary team on behalf of the Oregon DEQ and EPA to establish background dioxin/furan concentrations for the Portland Harbor Superfund Site.

Josh is driven by technical challenges and the search for practical solutions to clients’ needs. He leads MFA’s hydraulic modeling practice and is always looking for opportunities to learn new skills. In his new role, Josh will expand his focus on providing technical mentoring of the engineering team and strategic guidance for environmental projects.

Josh holds a master of engineering degree in civil and environmental engineering and a bachelor of science degree in biology, both from Portland State University. He has been a professional engineer licensed in Oregon and Washington since 2012 and an FAA-certified remote pilot since 2021. In his free time, Josh can often be found fishing, boating, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and daughter.
