A favorite project and why

The Port of Ridgefield’s cleanup of the former Pacific Wood Treating site is definitely among my favorites. This multi-decade project cleaned up all kinds of environmental media, made the city’s only waterfront safe for public access again after 100 years behind a fence, and significantly improved fish and wildlife habitat. It encapsulates all the reasons why I went into environmental engineering.
