Erik has over 20 years of experience in environmental engineering, with expertise in the areas of solid waste facility planning and design, brownfield/industrial site cleanup, and sediment remediation. Mr. Bakkom has successfully led design teams that incorporated the varied skills of a diverse group that included engineers, scientists, planners, ecologists, and regulatory specialists.

Erik has over 20 years of experience in environmental engineering, with expertise in the areas of solid waste facility planning and design, brownfield/industrial site cleanup, and sediment remediation. Erik has successfully led design teams that incorporated the varied skills of a diverse group that included engineers, scientists, planners, ecologists, and regulatory specialists. He has led the design and construction efforts for various landfills and complex remediation projects (upland, groundwater, riverbank, and sediment) for multimillion-dollar projects in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. His design philosophy is to look at the comprehensive system and how pieces interact in order to simplify the design and determine the most efficient and constructible solution. Erik is a civil engineer licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
