Building a Collaborative Brand and Digital Presence for the Active Youth Coalition
MFA partnered with Pierce County on a comprehensive branding and web development initiative for the Active Youth Coalition, a collaborative group of providers and advocates that support youth activity resources in South Pierce County. MFA was tasked with creating a strong identity and an engaging digital presence for the AYC. The project began with structured project management, including regular meetings with County and partner teams, and a detailed work plan that guided branding discussions, graphic design, and website development, launch, and evaluation.
Shaping a Youth‑Informed Identity Through Community Input and Ongoing Engagement
MFA developed the Active Youth Coalition (AYC) name and established a cohesive brand identity that reflected the program’s mission and values. To ensure that the brand resonated with the young audience, MFA conducted a brand survey with students, incorporating their feedback into the final logo and visual identity. MFA delivered a logo package, brand guidelines, a recruitment flyer, and templates for one-pagers and signage to support community engagement and ensure consistent branding in the future. MFA supported marketing efforts through presentations at AYC meetings, brainstorming outreach solutions, and tracking engagement metrics to inform future strategies. We also worked with AYC members to develop and distribute surveys through the website to capture activity participants’ experiences and gauge interest in new activities. These findings provided a platform for the AYC to learn about community interests and track its impact in getting more youth in South Pierce County engaged in regular physical activity.
Bringing the Coalition to Life Online With a Search‑Optimized, Member‑Focused Website
The centerpiece of the project was a fully functional, user-friendly website built in WordPress. MFA designed and hosted the site to feature background pages on AYC’s mission and goals, an interactive index of sports and activity programs with advanced filters, and links to member registration pages. Additional features included downloadable member logos, interest forms for parents, and a secure member portal for updating details and entering evaluation metrics. MFA also provided recommendations for ongoing website management and prepared a how-to manual for reference. To maximize visibility, MFA performed search engine optimization (SEO) tasks, improving search rankings and reach. The result is a polished digital platform that strengthens AYC’s visibility, streamlines member engagement, and supports long-term platform sustainability.
