Daniel De Obeso, EIT

Daniel holds a master's degree in pollution and environmental control from the University of Manchester. After completing his master's, he worked at a consultancy in Guadalajara, Mexico, focusing on renewable energy projects. Shortly thereafter, Daniel joined ITESO University as a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering bachelor program. During this time, he taught courses in characterization and management of contaminated sites and sustainability while also conducting research related to groundwater pollution and surface water sampling and pollution control. Daniel has also contributed to research projects focused on university waste management, quantifying and separating inorganic and recyclable waste, and the development of a cricket protein farm for sustainable food production. 

In his current role as a staff engineer at MFA, Daniel is involved in projects related to the industrial stormwater program of the Oregon DEQ, aligning with EPA’s NPDES. He has participated in O&M programs for stormwater systems and is actively working on contaminated-site remediation projects in Oregon. Outside work, Daniel dedicates his leisure time to his family and dogs. He has a keen interest in outdoor activities, such as hiking and mountain biking, and enjoys engaging in various sports and socializing with friends.
