S. Chapman

Steven Chapman, GIT

Staff Geologist

Steven’s interest in the natural world began at a young age when he watched documentaries on the animal kingdom and geologic processes, particularly volcanoes. As a teenager, his interest in the human story began to grow and he realized there’s a strong relationship between archaeology and geology, which led him to pursue degrees in both scientific disciplines.

As a teenager, his interest in the human story began to grow and he realized there’s a strong relationship between archaeology and geology, which led him to pursue degrees in both scientific disciplines. After graduating college, he wanted to contribute to making a positive impact on the environment. At MFA, Steven has conducted air monitoring, soil logging and sampling, groundwater monitoring and sampling, and drilling oversight.
