Welcome to Engineers Week 2024!

Engineers Week 2024

It’s officially Engineers Week! The purpose of #EWeek2024, as the hashtag is known, is to ensure a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.

What does it take to become a professional engineer, you ask? Engineers must complete a four-year college degree, work under a licensed professional engineer (PE) for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams, and earn a license from their state’s licensure board. Then, to retain their licenses, PEs must continually maintain and improve their skills throughout their careers (Read more about PEs on the NSPE website).

MFA is home to excellent engineers with diverse backgrounds and a range of experience including entry-level engineers in training (EITs) and experienced PEs. All are diligent problem solvers, and they are excited to use their technical skills to solve problems for our clients.

During #EWeek at MFA we will highlight a few of our engineers’ best advice, favorite projects, and most-loved aspects of being an engineer. We hope that giving you a peek at the people and projects in the field of engineering will inspire you to thank, hug, or become an engineer!
